Property description

As its name suggests, your family will feel like they are on holiday at a Pacific Island resort when they arrive at South Pacific Resort Noosa.

And just like most island resorts, we offer a range of comforts and facilities to make everyone feel at home.

This starts with spacious and affordable apartments sleeping up to 6, just minutes away from Noosa's cosmopolitan hub of Hastings Street. The one, two and three-bedroom apartments are fully self-contained and ideal for families.

Our two-bedroom, two bathroom apartments have a queen bed in the main bedroom and two singles in the second bedroom. Most apartments also have a second TV in the main bedroom and all have Nickelodeon for the kids.

In line with the tropical theme, our apartments feature soft, natural timbers, high-pitched roofs and large shuttered verandas overlooking lagoon swimming pools or lush tropical gardens - perfect for a family meal or a relaxing drink after your children are in bed.

We offer excellent leisure facilities for the whole family, including four lagoon swimming pools (two of them heated), three spas, a sauna, table tennis, two BBQ areas and a full size tennis court.

We can also arrange babysitting for parents wanting to eat out or enjoy a pampering session at the Resort Health Spa.

While we consider South Pacific Resort a destination within itself, we have a courtesy bus that can take you to Hastings Street and Noosa's famous Main Beach. The fabulous Noosa Farmers markets are located next door.

We are also a short, easy walk from the Noosa River and Gympie Terrace - great for families and popular with kids using their skateboards and scooters.

The Noosa River offers a range of activities and you will find companies hiring out boats, kayaks and jet skis. Fishing is also popular. Our staff are always available to help suggest activities if your children are older or more into adventure.

If you are after a true resort experience in the heart of Noosa, you can't go past South Pacific Resort.

Family Friendly Accommodation likes: With its timber floors and shutters, not to mention large balconies, this resort has lovely tropical feel to it. With a number of family friendly facilities, this is a great place to relax and base yourself to discover the local area.

South Pacific Resort and Spa review:

Given we had a large, inviting swimming pool out the front of our unit, it came as no surprise our two young boys begged us constantly to go swimming. And swim they did!

In fact the South Pacific Resort and Spa, situated in Noosaville, had four fantastic swimming pools to choose from, as well as a sauna and in-ground spa.

Situated in tropical surrounds, the resort is a 10-minute walk from Gympie Terrace - the restaurant hub of Noosaville - and a five-minute drive from Noosa's Hasting St. If you don't have transport, a major shopping centre is also a 10-minute walk away.

We found the South Pacific to be fantastic accommodation for our young family. The large, well-appointed units (2 and 3 bedroom available) are suitably furnished for families with children of all ages. The master bedroom (with ensuite) was huge, while the second bedroom was large enough to easily accomodate two single beds and a cot. The second bathroom had a bath/shower. Each unit has its own laundry, plus a spacious balcony.

During our stay, the resort was in the process of changing ownership. As a result, the restaurant was closed for renovations. However, it is conveniently located in the heart of the resort - making for an easy night out with the kids. A day spa on site also means mum can indulge in a little pampering (this mum can highly recommend the one-hour facial!). All the staff are friendly and helpful.

While the South Pacific Resort didn't have a children's playground on site, we found it didn't hinder our boys' holiday experience. In fact, they enjoyed the walk to the playground on Gympie Terrace. We'd happily return!
