Marcel Towers, a multiple North Coast Tourism Award winner, has everything you need for your family holiday. The 3 storey complex has 12 fully self-contained one and two bedroom apartments, plus an adjoining pet friendly apartment.

Onsite owners Penny and Terry said they aimed to emulate the sort of holiday that was once experienced in seaside locations throughout Europe, by creating a friendly, 'home away from home'.

"We strive to ensure our guests enjoy an experience that is long and fondly remembered by all," Penny said.

That means helping families discover the local waterways by providing the free use of rowboats, kayaks, snorkelling gear, boogie boards and buckets and spades for younger children. Inside, you can enjoy free WiFi, DVDs, books and board games. There is also a baby bath, cots, high chair and even a stroller, all available free of charge.

Apartments are fully furnished and air conditioned, with a kitchen and separate living/dining area. All have their own undercover off-street car parking space, elevated front balcony and water views and share a communal bbq area.

The two bedroom apartments are at the front of the building, offering 180 degree view of the river and ocean. The one bedroom apartments have river and rainforest views.

For larger families, the Superior Unit and the Courtyard Apartment can be joined to create a three bedroom deluxe apartment, with two bathrooms and living areas, as well as separate entrances and a private barbecue courtyard. This is also a perfect option for families travelling with grandparents.

Riverside Place is a 2-bedroom self-contained ground floor waterfront apartment next door to Marcel Towers. It has a dishwasher, barbecue and internal lock up garage. But what is special about this apartment is that it is pet friendly.

Yes, your dog can stay with you in this apartment, which has a dog friendly front porch and an escape proof area at the back. There are also a number of one and two bedroom apartments in the main tower complex that are pet friendly, including the one bedroom courtyard apartment (suitable for a small family of 3 + a cot).
