With two separate bedrooms, full-sized kitchen, bathroom and spacious living/dining room with wood-fire, Kingbilli's self-contained bluestone cottage provides the perfect base for families to explore their surroundings.
This is a farm stay in Victoria where children can be children - and parents can sit back and relax! Guests remain private and totally independent while their children are free to wander, cuddling curious llamas, donkeys, tiny ponies and full-size horses along the way.
Birds abound at every turn. Most native mammals are best spotted after dark, although keen eyes may glimpse lazy kangaroos grazing amongst the llamas in the mornings, or a chubby wombat sunning itself after a chilly winter's night.
Activities are plentiful - from hiking through our bushland sanctuary or the magnificent Cathedral Ranges just across the road, to relaxing with a glass of wine in your private gazebo whilst listening to the laughter from your children playing in the playground.
Some may find it takes more than a few days for the slow, seamless pace of country life to impose itself upon their psyche. Others might simply let the solitude and beauty of the landscape overtake them.
Sitting to meditate on the rustling of leaves in the cool evening breeze or the filament-like reflections of trees and rushes on the still surface of a pond, it is in these moments that the memory of constant motion in the outside world disappears.
