This website was created by a mum to help Australian families make a more informed choice in family holiday accommodation (learn more about me). We do not handle bookings or deal with property owners on your behalf. What we do provide is an on-line opportunity for holiday accommodation owners and managers to show you their family friendly credentials - and let you know why you should stay with them.
We have designed the lay-out to easily take you to the destination you want to visit.
For Australia, click on the state, then the tourist region. These regions are aligned with official Government tourism regions. A map is provided if you are unsure of the region's name.
Under each region, you will find towns listed in alphabetical order. We also provide listings overseas for overseas properties, as well as links to international family holiday accommodation websites, predominately in Europe and America.
No. We do not take bookings. We encourage families to book directly with properties.
Listings have been created after recommendations and/or thorough research. All comprehensive listings (known as Feature Property Promotions) have been approached by us based on their family friendly appeal. In the case of an accommodation owner approaching us to list on our website, we have to be satisfied as to their family friendly credentials.
In terms of a business, we are still in our early days. Our intent is to showcase the best family friendly properties on offer to help families make an informed holiday accommodation choice. Our aim is quality over quantity.
You will also notice some differences in our listings. This is because we offer 3 options for property owners/managers to be part of our service to you. You will note some properties are linked to 3rd party booking websites.
This option is offered for properties that want a basic presence with us and allows us the opportunity to receive a small commission through affiliate partnerships we have with these sites (HotelsCombined, Booking.com and Homeaway). In all other instances, direct property links are provided, as these properties support our small business financially.
This is in turn helps us continue to run our website.
All the properties on our site are family friendly, which means you do not have to scroll through pages of listings to try and determine which properties will provide a good holiday experience for your family.
I recommend using regional and local tourist information centres as a great starting point. Start your search at the state-based tourism website (they will have links to regional and local information). See Queensland, NSW, Victoria, Tasmania, South Australia, Western Australia, NT and ACT.
If you are after a holiday house, you could try a holiday rental website. Be aware when using websites through which you pay money directly to a property owner. Local real state agents often handle holiday rentals in popular areas too.
We accept reviews recommending properties to other families.
